.MOBI and .COOP Asking for One Character Domains to Be Released

One character domains are unavailable for registration. Ever wondered why? Well, apparently all gTLD registries are contractually obligated under their contracts with ICANN to reserve loner character names.
Change in in the air however! The .http://www.americanairlines.mobi/ (http://www.americanairlines.mobi/) but are not using it, may very well be interested in getting their hands on the shorter http://www.aa.mobi/ (http://www.aa.mobi/) version instead.
